Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film model, actress and filmmaker. Known for her elegant beauty her long-standing presence in the demanding film industry shows her talents and abilities as an actor. In the 70s when she started her modeling career and quickly was one of the most prominent actors in the industry. In the early 1990s, she began studying acting and theatre. In the following years, in Los Angeles and California she made her first stage appearances. Russo first made her television debut in ABCs Sable as Eden Kendell, in 1987. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest the following year with Major League, her debut film. Some critics initially doubted her talent as an actor however her steady performance enthused them. They were particularly impressed by her performance in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she held her own in the face that of Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. However by her own admission she's never really been a passionate with acting. In 2005 she went on a self-imposed hiatus. Her return was in Thor. Also, she was in the Oscar winner film Nightcrawler which was directed by husband. The Intern followed, as did Just Getting Started.
Rose Namajunas was one of UFC's most popular female athletes. Her career began as an amateur fighter taking part in numerous regional promotions prior to signing to Invicta Fighting Championships and later joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). When she joined in the UFC in 2011, she became known as a household name because of the fame she had achieved on and off the Octagon. Namajunas was a Lithuanian who immigrated to the United States. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the 29th of June, 1992. Rose played basketball and kickboxing while growing up. Rose made her debut as a professional aged 18 for Invicta Fighting Championships at which she won two matches by submission. Dana White took notice of the fact that she had won, and was admitted to the UFC's strawweight class in December 2014 when Rose was only 22. Rose has been through highs as well as lows throughout her professional career, but she always comes out victorious. In April 2015 Rose fought Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in which she was victorious by technical knockout in less than three minutes in Round One - becoming not only winner of the title, but being named Fighter Of The Night along making history in MMA as this fight marked only the first time that woman had fought for the title of champion with a major promoter worldwide . In the aftermath of this win Namajunas was able to have a number of more successful fights including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC in the wake of these wins .
