Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding rose quickly to the top with her electronic pop music after getting the public's attention with "Starry Eyed,"" and "Guns and Horses" in the year 2010. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her unique soprano warble and knack of writing engaging, but emotionally honest tracks, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of contemporary mainstream music and artistic, non-conformist pop.Goulding was soon moving from the blogosphere to print media, receiving praise from mainstream publications like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a major contract. Her debut album was ready for release.
